About the role

You'll design thumbnails that earn clicks — the most leveraged 1280×720 pixels in our business. We expect a steady cadence each week, more during launches.

We hire thumbnail designers who study CTR like designers study layout.

What you'll do

  • Design 1-3 thumbnail concepts per video, A/B tested where it makes sense
  • Iterate based on data — early CTR, audience signal, watch-time correlation
  • Build a small library of components, faces, and templates we can reuse
  • Pair with the creator or PM on the angle before designing
  • Track which thumbnails win and bring patterns back to the team
  • Refresh older thumbnails for videos that are still earning impressions

What we're looking for

  • A portfolio of thumbnails for channels with real traffic
  • Strong Photoshop or Illustrator chops, and the speed that comes with experience
  • A point of view about what makes a thumbnail click — not just look nice
  • Reliable turnaround within our publish cadence

Nice to have

  • Experience in the same niche as our channel
  • You can shoot and retouch your own headshots if needed
  • Familiarity with thumbnail A/B testing tools

What we offer

  • Per-thumbnail rate, with a bonus for CTR wins
  • Fully remote — your software, your gear
  • Bylines and credit in video descriptions
  • Steady volume from a growing channel
  • A team that actually reads the analytics with you
