About the role

You'll edit our show end-to-end — from raw multitrack to published episode. We care about pacing, tightness, and the listener's time.

We're not looking for "remove the ums." We're looking for editorial judgment.

What you'll do

  • Edit our weekly episodes from raw multitrack
  • Cut for pacing — remove tangents, sharpen arcs, hold attention
  • Clean audio: levels, noise, room tone, the occasional surgical fix
  • Build a small library of intros, outros, transitions, and ad reads
  • Maintain version control and project archives
  • Suggest format and structure improvements as the show grows

What we're looking for

  • A published episode you cut, ideally for a real show
  • Strong audio chops in Descript, Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, or iZotope
  • Editorial taste — you can explain why a cut works
  • Reliable turnaround for a 60-minute raw recording

Nice to have

  • You've cut shows in our space
  • Music or sound design background
  • You've launched or co-produced a podcast of your own

What we offer

  • Per-episode rate, paid on schedule
  • Fully remote
  • Steady volume from a growing show
  • Room to take on more shows or move into production
  • A host who respects your craft
