About the role
You'll edit our show end-to-end — from raw multitrack to published episode. We care about pacing, tightness, and the listener's time.
We're not looking for "remove the ums." We're looking for editorial judgment.
What you'll do
- Edit our weekly episodes from raw multitrack
- Cut for pacing — remove tangents, sharpen arcs, hold attention
- Clean audio: levels, noise, room tone, the occasional surgical fix
- Build a small library of intros, outros, transitions, and ad reads
- Maintain version control and project archives
- Suggest format and structure improvements as the show grows
What we're looking for
- A published episode you cut, ideally for a real show
- Strong audio chops in Descript, Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, or iZotope
- Editorial taste — you can explain why a cut works
- Reliable turnaround for a 60-minute raw recording
Nice to have
- You've cut shows in our space
- Music or sound design background
- You've launched or co-produced a podcast of your own
What we offer
- Per-episode rate, paid on schedule
- Fully remote
- Steady volume from a growing show
- Room to take on more shows or move into production
- A host who respects your craft
