GDPR.

Your rights under EU and UK data protection law, and how to exercise them with hire.page. Last updated: April 10, 2026.

1. What this page is

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives people in the EU, EEA, and UK specific rights over their personal data. This page explains what those rights are and how to exercise them with hire.page. For the full picture of what we collect and why, read our Privacy Policy.

2. Who is the controller

hire.page is the data controller for the account and billing information you provide to us directly. When an employer uses hire.page to collect applications through their careers page, that employer is the controller for the applicant data they receive, and hire.page acts as their processor.

3. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to certain processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

4. Lawful basis for processing

We process personal data on one of four bases: to perform our contract with you (running the service, billing, account emails); to comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, lawful requests); for our legitimate interests (keeping the platform secure, preventing abuse, improving the product with anonymized data) where those interests are not overridden by your rights; or with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. AI features and your data

Some features send text you provide (for example, a job title) to a third-party AI model to generate a response. We do not use your private pipeline, candidate, or applicant data to train any AI model, and we do not train our own models on your data.

6. International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. When we transfer personal data outside the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards approved by the European Commission and the UK ICO.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are legally required to keep certain records (for example, invoices for tax purposes).

8. How to exercise your rights

You can update or delete your account directly from your account settings. For access requests, data exports, corrections, or any other GDPR request, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days, as required by GDPR. If you are an applicant to a job posted through hire.page, we will forward your request to the relevant employer, who is the controller of your application data.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, we want to hear from you so we can fix it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in the EU member state, EEA country, or UK where you live or work.
